STEPS IN IMPLEMENTING SRM-MDM-CCM 3.0

I am new to implementaion of CCM 3.0. We have started installing CCM in our company.

I wanted to know your experiences in implementing the same. We have SRM 7.0, MDM 7.0, ECC 6.0, Portal 7.0 and XI 7.0

Please share the steps that we have to follow in implementaion.

Hi Sudha,

I assume you have MDM 7.1 (thrs no 7.0).

Since you have your MDM & SRM systems in place, what you need to do is:

1. Download the repository from SWDC & unarchive it via the MDM Console

2. Maintain the MDM connection parameters in SPRO (in SRM)

3. Deploy the SRM-MDM Cat & Java API sca files on the SRM Java stack

5. Ensure that you have the latest versions for MDM Server, Console, Java API & the SRM-MDM Cat.

6. Test the connection via: http://<SRM Server>:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc_mdmsrmcat~uiutil/Utilities?sap-wd- cltwndid=6b49aeb1d02211dece37000c2966d5d0

7. Check the Catalog functionality via:

http://<SRM Server>:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc_mdmsrmcat~uisearch/MDM_SRM_UI_App

Hi Saba,

We are implementing SRM-MDM 3.0 for the SRM 7.0 on IBM i. The MDM Server components provided with SRM-MDM DVD are not supported on IBM I, but the product MDM 7.1 is supported on IBM I.

My question is that - Can we install the MDM 7.1 on IBM I and use that instance for SRM-MDM Catalog. Is there a difference between the MDM provided with SRM-MDM and the regular MDM?

We are planning to install the Java API sca files on our Enterprise Portal system, since we do not have SRM Java.

There is no CCM 3.0, I expect you refer to SRM-MDM 3.0 ?

In this case, the installation guide and/or upgrade guide combined with SAP help is the best place to start looking at your implementation.
