Loading of Monitors

Hi Experts.

We are implementing the BPM. We plan to monitor the ECC production and Portal System. We have installed the latest ST-API.

I have access to the SMD server. My question is Do I need to have access to the production box to read the monitors into SMD.

Pls explain.

Also with the portal, since this is a web based system , how does the BPM can be implemented in a portal.

Kevin,

If I understand your question, once ST-AP/I has been installed on the production server and the RFC to that box is functioning, you do not need further access to the production system. The BPM data will be collected by Solution Manager, and the configuration of the business process monitors will be done from Solution Manager, where you will also view the monitors.
