Hi,
I'm looking to connect to salesforce so that I can build a universe around it and do reporting.
Could I get some help on how to do this?
Thanks.
Yes, you can create direct connection to Saleforce.com
The option is available in XI 3.1.
While creating a conneciton, you could see a option "Salesforce.com" while you go down available connection drivers.
I haven't directly tested and created any connection to Salesforce.com. But the option is available in BO XI 3.1
Please try.

Sorry, I was away.
What error are you getting when you create a Universe or you have not started yet?
Have you installed Integration Kit to connect to SalesForce because you are using Univer Designer to create a Universe? Am I
right?
Here are couple of document related to integration

Are you trying to connect to salesforce.com or you have downloaded data from there and now trying to connect it?
Do you have all credential for this connection?
