Hi

we have making a plan distributed system system installation

own host in

1-MDM Server (MDS)

2-MDM Import Server (MDIS)

3-MDM Syndication Server (MDSS)

and database installing in another host i am littele bit confuse when and how i am install a database instence.

means when i install the dtabase softwere and create of the database fully manuly in another system.

in installation guide not shows clear when install the database instene.

Hi,

Before MDM Server installation you have to Install and configure Database on the required host. The DBMS client will be required to install at MDM server to talk with DBMS.The other required information relative to Distributed Installation are mentioned in concerned Installation Guide.

In the MDM console you have to create a database connection. It should not matter if the database is running on the MDM system itself, or on another host.

Just make sure that the database client software is available on the host where the MDM software is running.
