Dear Vishnu,

You can check down time in Solman_Workcenter > System Landscape Management tab.

Then on the left hand side of the screen select Downtime Management

Then in the Components whose Downtimes are Managed window, you will see the managed systems, they can be expanded where you can actually select the servers, and review the downtime calendar.

I hope this was helpful.

Hello,

Can you help me understand your question please? What in SAP are you trying to monitor through SAP? Are you referring to the SAP website when you say SAP Connection?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Hi there,

You can see this using the downtime management within the Solman workcenter.

You may access it through transaction 'Solman_Workcenter'

Then click on System Landscape Management tab and then select Downtime Management.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

If you're looking for current system status, investigate "GRMG Monitoring" in CCMS.

If you're looking for historical statistics of uptime, investigate Service Level reporting in Solution Manager.

Dear Vish,

I would suggest that you first downlaod and read SAP Note 1129385 - Downtime management with Solution Manager : FAQ

Once you have read that docuement, then please look at

https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000089860&;

Page 10-21 will guide you though planning uptime and downtime, notifying users about scheduled downtimes, defining downtime alerting, executing downtime, editing downtime and reusing downtime.

These two documents will answer all your questions and guide you to successfully implementing downtime management.

I know this information will be helpful.

Regards,

Paul
