Universe Designer - Custom Parameters

Hi all

I''m in the midst of creating a universe under universe designer from the BusinessObjects Edge Series XI 3.1

Under "Defining a new connection", at the "custom parameters" section, i don't quite understand what this means..

"Define the custom parameters to acces your database server using ODBC middleware"

Does it mean to define the System DSN i created as the parameter ?

These parameters vary depending on the database middleware that you selected.

For example, Alias table and dimension to be used as the Measure dimension for Essbase connections.
