Are you trying to configure a newly installed PI 7.1 manually? Is there a specific reason not to use the configuration wizard in NWA? If no, please use it as it does all the work behind the scene for you.

No, it is not a newly configured PI system. We have had it for over a year, but SSO has not been configured on it.
I have looked in the Configuration Wizard Overview, but cannot see a task for SSO.
So I am following the help guide here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/32/1c1041a0f6f16fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
but getting the error I described.
Thanks.
Without SSO between ABAP and Java, how to log in integration engine with ABAP user? Is this PI now completely not functioning? Can you open page http://<hostname>:5xx00/rep ?
SSO configuration is not a separate task, is included in the single configuration wizard instead.
I can connect to http://<hostname>:5xx00/rep okay and everything is working.
When I did the SAP PI course they said that it could be configured as described in the online help. I assume I can't run the single configuration wizard now as it is a live system?
Thanks.
