Hi
We have installed SRM as 'Classic' scenario. However we decided to use system as standalone system by configuring SRM local as backend system. During this case we are not able to assign 'Plant' to company code.
We have created 'Plant' as business partner.
In organizational plan 'Extended attributes' we are not able to select this partner in 'Location'.
Kindly help us to find some solution to assign plant to company code or if any alternate solution.

Hi DEB
Even if you go for a stand alone system Elements like plant , Company code are to be defined in some back end system.
As Plant in turn is used as valuation area and is configured for GL Account congifuration.
AS SRM is a procurement module and dose not support the FI Accounting systems for which there has to be a backend systems not necessary SAP systems.
However elements relating to Chart of accoints , company code , plant , valuation area , valuation class has to be define in the back end systems as there is no such provision in SRM where we can create company codes and plants .
These elements will any way resemlble some back end systems,
regards,
Nimish Sheth
