Hi all

I need how to change the Unrestricted stock to Quality inspection stock. it will use 322 movement type in mb1b t.code.

but it will not allow to post.

Dear Saravanan,

If you have given UD and have done stock posting then, system will not allow you to do 322 as you have applied QM view.

As per SAP best practice 'You cannot reverse a usage decision which has already been made', hence take UD very carefully. Please refer SAP note no .33924 which clearly tells us about this.

Especially if the material is raw material (GR against PO) and have excise then once you clear (given UD) the lot reversal of same document is not possible.

Best way to go for it is post stock to block and then send back the material (this you can do by assigning 08 inspection type to material and then doing 322 )

In GR against production order you can reverse the document as no excise issue is involved in to it.

you can cancel UD (status will be LTCA) but again that is just status change, posted stocks are not reversed.

In stray case one can use note for reversal of UD, but SAP don't support on the deficits and related matters raised due to this reversal.

am activated 08 inspection type and tried in mb1b transaction using 322 movement type, in case it will raise error only.

What is the error???, also check that whether the stock you have posted to unrestricted is available or not if it is not then system will not allow you, please check and revert.

Hi,

Activate inspection type 08 for same materail.

then do MB1B 322 movement .

New lot will get generated with inspection origin 08 .

Stock will move to quality again.
