Trace why SOFFCONT1 grows

Good afternnon,

SOFFCONT1 table grows quite fast on our system.

I am suspecting processes that send emails and save a copy in the database.

Would someone know how I could get the owner, program name and data type that are stored in this table.

This would help me tracing out why the table is growing?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

You may be right. Actually email attachments (among other things, not email related) are stored in this table.

And you know how huge powerpoint presentations may become.

Good morning,

I have read the notes.

They focus on reorganising.

They do not say how to find the type of data (or its owner) there is in this tables

But how can I ensure that it is attachments?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi ,

You can try searching in the related tables like SOOD and SOOS, which give you data like when it was created, who created it and the message title , type of the message etc.

Based on these info, you can find out which message type is increasing on a regular basis and who creates them.

Regards,

Shail.

Check the note given below for periodic maintenance of this table and it has all the info you have asked.
