Hi,

What is AUXILARY KFs and how to create?

Is that same with normal KF or different?

Please expalin the usage of Auxilary KFS.

Hi Ganesh,

Auxiliary key figures for a planning book are usually temporary and are often used to display values that are calculated with macros. These are used in planning books during calucation using macros.

For normal key figures data is stored in planning area . However, for the auxilary key figures data is not stored in planning area and these are purely used for calculations and display in the planning books.

In planning book design, we can create auxiliary key figures that are not saved in the planning area but can be displayed as rows in interactive planning. For a self-defined key figure, we can specify that it is saved to the database. We can use auxiliary key figures in forecasting and in macros.

In demand planning we cannot save auxiliary key figures. (In SNP we can save to the database)

Hi

We create or add auxiliary key figures only in APO Demand Planning .

While maintaing a planning book, we create auxiliary key figures.

1. Choose Design planning book from the Demand Planning current settings or in Customizing for Demand Planning. Afterwards you can choose Change planning book from the design mode of interactive demand planning to modify a planning book.

2. Work through the tabstrips, guided by the wizard .

2.1 Key Figure Attributes Tabstrip

On this tab, you can create auxiliary key figures that are not saved in the planning area . For a self-defined key figure, we can specify that it is saved to the database. You can use auxiliary key figures in forecasting and in macros.

APO SNP: Auxiliary key figures can not be created or added anymore in APO versions > 3.1 . There is detailed explanation in oss note 1405601.
