Hi Experts,

I am Harish and have started to learn SAP HR Recently. I was trying to build on a logic for the situation below:

In my team there are 30 people and its a 24*5 Operation, has 3 shifts on any day. The company has 9 Hrs of planned working Hours which includes 1 Hr Break.

The shifts are:

6am - 3pm

2pm-11pm

10pm-7am

My approach:

Step 1 :

Create (With 1 hr break)

DWS1: 6am-3pm.

DWS2: 2pm-11pm.

DWS3: 10PM-7am.

Step2:

PWS1:DWS1 DWS1 DWS1 DWS1 DWS1 OFF OFF

PWS2:DWS2 DWS2 DWS2 DWS2 DWS2 OFF OFF

PWS3:DWS3 DWS3 DWS3 DWS3 DWS3 OFF OFF

Now assuming i divide 30 people into 3 teams of 10 people

TEAM 1 : 6am-3pm.

TEAM 2 : 2pm-11pm.

TEAM 3 : 10PM-7am.

By logic I have to assign:

TEAM 1 : PWS1

TEAM 2 : PWS2.

TEAM 3 : PWS3.

When all are working in same location then their PSA is same. How do i make above arrangement in SAP.

There is a possibility that my entire thought process is wrong. Kindly guide me so that i can configure the above scenario.

Regards,

Harish

Hi,

As I see it, there is no flaw in your logic.

When you are trying to create Work Schedules for 3 different groups within 1 PSA (or across muliple PSAs), the only way to do it is thru the EG/ ESG.

If you consider this factor, I think you can see your way to resolving this problem

Hello Shri,

Define 2 DWS as below,

DWS1 u2013 07:30 to 16:30

DWS2 u2013 14:00 to 23:00

Define single PWS as below,

PWS1 = 001(Week) DWS1 DWS1 DWS1 DWS1 DWS1 DWS1 OFF (considering Sunday off)

PWS1 = 002 (Week) DWS2 DWS2 DWS2 DWS2 DWS2 DWS2 OFF (considering Sunday off)

PWS1 will keep rotating these shifts for an employee weekly u2013

Create work schedule rule with PWS PWS1

Generate and save the schedule

While displaying it with tcode PT03 you can see that.

Thanks and Regards

Just an addition to what Jaydeep has already said.

You need to maintain proper PSA grouping and ESG groupingl. Also a public holiday calendar needs to be assigned to your PSAs.

cheers

Hi

Shift planning is not required in case you are maintaining WSR as per what Jay has written above.
