Automatic selection of Item category while creating PR for custmized doctyp

In Upgrade project (4.7 to ECC6.0) we found difference in the mode of working of Item category selection while creating PR.

In old 4.7 system when used to select the doc type (Which is custumised doc type) the item category get selected automatically upon selection of account assignment during PR creation.

But in ECC 6.0 , while creating PR for that particular document type the item category doesn't get automatically selected , but this will be in F4 option , but user wants this to come automatically.

Any pointers on this greatly appreaciated.

Hi ,

If we make it default , it will be applicable for all document type , but in my case for a particular document type ,which is customised ,this appears.

Also your second point on Variant , there is no screen variant used in this case.

1.You can use personal setting in ME51N for the user and maintian default value for item category ,flag always propose

2. or You can use screen variant to popose required item category for doc type - SHD0
