can anybody explain what is difference between RUN SAP & SOLMAN

Hi,

Run SAP is SAP methodology for implementation and optimization for managing end to end solution operationa.

SAP uses solution manager in run SAP methodology.

There are various components available as a part of Run SAP namely Change management, business process integration and automation, upgrade management etc.

Please note that there is difference between ASAP and Run SAP.

SOLMAN is an SAP tool and RUNSAP is a methodology. You are following the SAP Methododlogy RUNSAP or ASAP in your SolMan system. Please refer the below link for details about RUNSAP.

RunSAP is a Methodology like ASAP

SAP Solution Manager is an installation like ECC or CRM, it's used for various purposes and is mandatory (also it's used in RunSAP)

However, comparing these two is like comparing a book to an airplane.
