DIR Release Problem

Hi All,

We have defined the appropriate status network for all doc types. However, in certain cases after assigning originals, we are not able to complete the loop for status network defined i.e, 'Release'. This is happeining only in certain scenarios. Please guide.

Hi James,

Have you cross checked incase all the objects linked to your DIR's already exist?

Incase any non-existing object(that you desire to create at a later point in time) has been assigned to any particular DIR, then you would be unable to release the DIR. Hence,

- You may either delete the non-existent object or..

- Switch over and create that particular non-existent object(Material master,BoM et-al)

In summary, you cannot release something (DIR here), if not all objects actually exist.
