Third Party Interface

Hi Experts.

I want some clarification, we are implementing BPM - Solution Manager. I was checking the BPM Monitors Catalog. I didnt find any thirdparty interface monitoring.

Our client has SAP and it has got some thirdparty interface such as Vertex, BSI, Delego which are tax ware and payroll interface.

Does BPM can monitor these 3 rd Party tools.

I read that BPM only communicates with thrid party interface with only IDOC. Is it correct to say BPM can only be communicated with third party interface with IDOC?

Can some one guide me on this subject.

Hi Kevin,

no, it's not true that the BPMon can only monitor IDoc interfaces. E.g. we have some functionalities monitoring RFC and TCP/IP connections as well. Please check out the "Setup Guide - Interface Monitoring" available on SAP Service Marketplace to find information on all possible Interface Monitoring functionalities available within BPM.

However, the main question here is what exactly you want to monitor. I guess that the availability of the connection between SAP and non-SAP is not the only error information that you need to have. So please provide me some more details in order to judge if the BPMon would be able to monitor these 3rd party interfaces in a comprehensive way.

Hi Experts: My question was ........

Does BPM communicates with the thirdparty tool through Only IDOC?

Our Client has SAP and has got some 3rd party Interface to the Bank for Credit Card payment. For Tax calculation for diffrent sates in the US. Can we monitor any of these third party interfaces.

Pls provide me with some answer. I have check all the service market place documents, I am not clear on this.
