RFC <> XI <> WebService on TomcatApplication Server

In my sxenario I have to connect a R3 System to a Webservice. The Webservice is running on a TomCat WebApplication Server.

My Problem is the connection between XI and TomCat.

If I want to create a communication channel I need a business system. I think I have to create a business system in the SLD, right? Or is there an other way to create communication channels to an external Webservice?

Thanks and regards

Hi,

if it's a system that is not defined in your SLD you could define it as a Business Service.

Not mandatory. Use Business Service and you need no other information.

Hi,

You have two options: as a business system or a business service.

To use it as a business system, define the technical/business system in SLD, add your custom product/swcv to it, and use it as your business system in configuration.

Or define and use it as a business service in configuration without any SLD modification by specifying all interfaces this service will use in the integration directory.
