input batch no. in MIGO

Hi

I dont know the reason why sometimes I can input the batch no. in MIGO when I do the goods receipt of production order, but sometimes system auto generate batch which i am not able to change. pls advice

p.s. material master with the flag of batch management.

Is there a User Exit active ? If all the other settings and parameters are the same, then it sounds like you have an exit active.

Otherwise, are you getting variable results for the same material ?? My guess would be you get consistent results for consistent materials and therefore it's a matter of figuring out the difference in process.

Seems like there is both input/automatic batch no. check on in your batch management. So if you dont input the batch number, system creates batch number itself for you at time of GR.
