JAVA STACK Installation

Hello To all,

I have SAP IDES Netweaver 7.0 installed in a our server and i want to install JAVA STACK in same server.

I have three or four questions related to this point :

-1- Can i install JAVA STACK with SAP IDES

-2- can i install JAVA STACK in same server as ABAP STACK

-3- What are the minimum hardware prerequistes to install ABAP and JAVA STACK in same server

No, you cannot install a Java-only instance by IDES media.

Yes.

Generally, just need to make sure you have enough physical memory for DB + ABAP + Java dispatcher + Java server node(s) + 0.8-1GB left for OS kernel

Yes, but installing a dual stack instance without special usage type (like PI or MI) is not recommended. SAP has removed the dual stack install option from SAPinst as of release 701. Having AS Java running in a separate instance is the direction.
