> See 'C:\oracle\ora92/bin/oradim -new -sid TST -STARTMODE auto' output in 'C:\SAPinst ORACLE SAPINST\oradim.log'.

According the PATH displayed you did not install Oracle correctly with the sapserver.cmd script provided by the installation DVD but by executing setup.exe.

HI,

Please try to to run this command in command prompt and let us know the output

oradim -new -sid TST -STARTMODE auto

If this is working fine start the installation again.

Restart the installation process, paste some logs from alert file if still error is there.

Your Oracle is crashing.

Did you install the latest patches before you started sapinst for the first time? The SAP delievered version on the DVD (9.2.0.1) doesn't work and was never supported.

I also wonder why you install a version already out of support (9.2) - there are installation media sets available for Oracle 10g also.

Hi,

Thanks it seems ID has been created, just check these quick fixes

1) You are installing SAP with windows administrator user.

2) check manually the user and group of windows user and add this manually to oradba related group and then retry.

Also check what is the output of sqlplus / as sysdba in your command prompt.

HI ,

It seems your oracle DB is not created properly.

No way to escape , as mentioned in above post , please check with installed oracle patch .

I suggest you to restart the installation using oracle10g or any SAP certified oracle version , for which i am sure you will not receive any error.

But for now i can not see any way out if DB is crashing at this stage.

satheesh,

you did not read the installation guide.

you did not use SAPSERVER.CMD to isntall ORacle, you wrongly used SETUP.EXe

also, you used C:/SAPinst ORACLE SAPINST/ as your instalaltion directory.

you should use C:/SAPinstO or similar path without any spaces.

I would re-start from scratch and follow my 2 recommendations as it will also fail later in installation.
