Use of Organisation Structure in PR Approval process

Hi experts ,

how to use the org. structure in approval of a PR with workflow .

workflow scenario contains escalation to 1 or 2 levels .

e.g. Cost Centre / Internal POrders etc.

can anyone pls. answer .?

are you talking about Organisation Structure e.g. Tx PPOME etc. ?? Workflow works well in combination with 'pure' Org. Structure but you will need Workflow/ABAP consultant, especially if you want to work in a 'non-pure' way.

Hi,

Communication Structure which will be used for the PR Release Strategy = CEBAN

Any Field which exists in this Communication Structure can be used as Charactersistics for your Release Procedure based on which your Release Strategy will be triggered.

In your case, Define characterstics CEBAN- EKORG and CEBAN-AUFNR and assign to your class.

However, Before doing this, identify the characteristics based on which you want to have your release procedure.(For Example, Plant and Purchase Organisation can be Used most).

Also.Maintain the other relevant settings related to Release Procedure( Release Codes, Release Groups, Release Indicators, Release Strategies).

Hi

I am not able to under stand the point what is requirment of setting the release strategy with charcterstics like cost center /order.

However it would be advisable if you set release startegy at charcterstics like Plant ( WERKS) which is organisational structure ( MM) and there will other charcterstics like Net value , material group .... etc

You can also use cost center

Hi,

Maintain characteristics for the cost center and maintain the communication table CEBAN-KOSTL for cost center and CEBAN - AUFNR for internal order number. Then assign the characteristicsto the class used for release strategy.

Maintain classification data and other pre-requisites for the release strategies created.
