As per error message it seems that some files are having sharing voilation. Please restrat the machine and try the installation again. Also check the SAP dump and try the installation with another set of dump (Software)

Thanks

Hi,

1. Stop the installation...

2. Check that DB Services are started and running

3. Manually start the instance from SAPMMC.

4. Restart the installation with "Continue OLD option"

5. Paste the "sapinst.log" and also "startED1.log" from the installation directory (C:\program files\sapinst\..\..\)

Regards.

Hi,

### 3. Manually start the instance from SAPMMC. you mean start DB service from MMC?

At this stage of installation, you may see the SAP MMC icon on your desktop.

Execute it --> select instance --> right click --> start

--- sapinst.log

you can do a search in c:\program files (easiest way....)

Regards.

Hi,

Please stop the installation and database.

Then reboot your system and retry the installation...

That would be the easiest way...

Regards.

during the installation, waring occurred

Connect to message server (lablab/3900) failed: NIECONN_REFUSED.

so what's the reason, message server can not be connected

Hi,

What is the current status ? is that stuck at same step ?

Please check your host file for correct hostname entry

C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file should have entry like below:

<IP_Address> <Your_hostname>

Then start the sap from SAPMMC

Then try again...

Regards.

The connection to the message server fails because your system is not properly starting.

Please check

dev_ms

dev_disp

dev_w0

in the work directory of the instance.

Hi,

Its a kernel problem.

1. Just stop the installation and database

2. Backup OLD Kernel

3. Upgrade with LATEST kernel (db dependent/independent and dbsl)

4. Start SAP and database

5. Restart the installation.

Refer the below note also :

[Note 525900 - GZZ > 1 possible network problems detected|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/525900]

Make sure that there is no DNS entries in your Network Configuration. At least till installaiton....

Hi,

Make sure that you have no DNS entries configured in Network Configurations Propeties.

You can check it as follow.

Hi,

Not sure but you will need SAPJ2EE and DW (disp+work) patch...

As per the note 977929

640 add-on:

Patch no. 8 for SAPJ2EE and

Patch no. 147 for DW

640 Java only:

Patch no. 6 for J2EEKRN

700:

Patch no. 16 for SAPJ2EE and

Patch no. 76 for DW

This patch is for similar problem.

Hello Rajesh,

sure, i saw both patches for kernal. both are ralted to get Mac address.

but uncompressed them ,then put both into E:\usr\sap\ED1\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64 ?

Or dw is copied into NTAMD64

and J2EE is copied into another folder

hope to get your echo

thanks a lot
