Incorrect Profit Center while doing MIRO

Hi Guys,

We have a PO and while doing MIGO , the system is posting one Profit center in the document.

However, while doing MIRO , the system is picking a different profit center. This profit center seems to be picked from the Material Master while doing MIRO.

However, we do not want the Profit center to be picked from the Material Master, but we want the same profit center that is in the account assignment in the PO , to be taken when the MIRO is done..

How can this be done and what are the implications...

Profit center posted in MIGO and MIRO are different?

because at MIRO system will post to same profit center which you have used at MIGO.

Yes, the profit centers in MIGO and MIRO are different.

The system is not using the profit center that was used in MIGO.

It seems the system is picking the profit center from the Material Master during MIRO...

I dont seem to understand why the system is doing this..it should have picked up the profit center from the MIGO only...or from the account assignment in the PO...

Normally, how does the system pick the profit center while doing MIGO and MIRO ?

Hi Srikant,

In any normal scenario i.e PO with account assignment lets say Cost Center or without account assignment:

at MIGO system will pick up profit center from Cost Center Master data.

if po is without account assignment then system picks up profit center from material master data.

at MIRO account assignment used at MIGO will be updated.

Hi,

In our case, the account assignment in the PO is a sales order.

The profit center is being picked up from the Sales order which is in the account assignment in the PO.

But during MIRO, the system is not picking up the profit center which it has picked up during MIGO.

Is there any configuration as to how the system will pick up the profit center during doing MIRO ?
