Exclude selections in the Report

Hi Experts,

When i designing a report, i need to restrict data with the company code. In our business there are more company codes.

My scenario is except 5 company codes i need to allow all the company code data. If i use the exclude selection it will hit the performance of the report.

without using the exclude selectons how do i proceed.

Thanks,

I don't think for 5 or 6 exclusions will cause performance issue of report.

We are using 15 exclusions in one of the business requirement and we never faced the issue with the performance.

To many exclusions will leads to have performance issue and it depends again.

Use exclsuions rather waiting for some other way.

Hi, In that case cant you restrict the company codes that needs to be shown instead of excluding the ones?

also did you try and observe any performance issue with exclusions?

Hi,

You include the required Company Code only in all Selections.

Thanks

Hi Satya,

Will any other mode of restriction for company code at the query designer level be alright?
