Hi All,
We are doing a fresh implementation, and would like to know the step by step way through which i can know the relevant business content objects on BW side for a BC data sources ,,,,,
0material_attr
and 0mat_sales_Attrt
As Per my understanding, once installed the BC data sources, the data would be feed to the master data info object 0material
But the question is how do i know the complete Business content object on BW / BI side, and use the same building the entire flow.
I have a hint that we can know it through the help.sap.com, and it would be highly appreciated and awarded for your expertises guidence, i have tried sercing in it, but dont know the correct trick.
Even for the other business content data sources.
Example, the relevant infoobject or the DSO or the Cube, transformation, dtp,etc..
Thanks

HI,
Once you log into the BI System and got RSA1- > Goto Meta data repository... there you have an option to selct the various object types like datasource, infosource, dso, ifocube etc.. select the one you want and then see the dataflow... above or below..the way you want... so that you can understand the data flow
with warm regards,
Vineeth

Hi Vineeth,
Do you mean this way in the meta data repository, it will propose the flow for the business content object, and if yes, then even if they are in delivery version and not in active version, still it shall propose the flow for the business content objects,
And to cut short my requirement, as specified we are doing the fresh implementation,
and i have identified that we would require first to load the material master data, and based on our present requirement, the data source which i have identified are
0material_attr (for the table mara in ECC system)
0mat_sales_attr (for the table mvke in ECC system)
all the fields data would be loaded to which master data info object,
will it be 0material or ????
Thanks for your support and surly as promised
Hi prashanta,
Yes that is for sure that the business content data source 0material_attr fits into the info object 0material,
but similtanously i have a requirment to extract the data throught the data source 0mat_sales_attr, which is for the mvke table data extraction, i am not sure about the business content info object for that,
If any body can sujjest on that
Thanks
Daljeet,
0MAT_SALES_ATTR should feed into 0MAT_SALES. 0MAT_SALES is compounded with sales Org and distr chan similar to the key in MVKE.
There are a few of different ways to check what the data source from ECC would feed into BI.
1. Look it up on the help.sap.com website. Search documentation option is very useful, make sure you select SAP Netweaver and BI Content for your search area.
2. Metadata Repository within your BI system. Make sure you select Local Objects under Business Content on the left window of the screen. It defaults to Activated Objects.
3. Try to collect the datasource from Business Content on your BI system with Data Flow After option.

Metadata Reporsitory defaults to show only active objects in your BI system. you may notice that the title on the page comes up with "Activated objects in system XXXXXXX". On the left pane you have a link to select "Business Content" instead. Since you are looking for which objects to activate you should look into this area.
Hope this helps!

HI,
Open help.sap.com
Then, on the left hand side. under 'Overview of SAP Documentation' cleick on SAP NetWeaver.
Then again on teh left hand side click on BI Content
Then , in teh middle of the page, u will find SAP release version and documenation links
just click on Englis (language), and it will open the sap library page for BI content.
else check the link below (which has come folloowing the above navigation):
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/3d/5fb13cd0500255e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Now u can navigate further in these links and u will get all the info for any object.
example for FI goo financials etc..
Hope this helps
