Regarding optimization

Hi all,

I am trying to run optimization in /sapapo/rpt, but I am getting this message.

'Optimization was not executed'. I am doing this for set up optimization.

Let me know what may be the possible reasons. what further clarifications arerequired from my side?

Hi Yogesh,

Do you want to run oprtimizer only ? Is your Heuristics running correctly?

1.Please check and maintain the optimizer profile?

2. Maintain penalty costs in the SNP 1 tab in the product master .

A) No delivery Penalty

B) Delay Penalty

C) Max Delay days

3. Single level costs ( Varialble) in PPM and the Transportation costs in Tranportation lane.

4. Select all the locations while running the optimizer.

Hi all,

thanks for your inputs,

I have done the following settings for PP/DS optimizer run.

1. Optimization profile maintained with wieghts given in the objective function

2. Set up group maintained in operations in PPM.

3. Set up matrix maintained with transition times between set up groups. (2 materials used with diff groups linked in respective PPMs). [e.g. mat1 to mat2 is 4 hours and mat2 to mat1 is 1 hour ]

4. Set up matrix is linked to resource.

5. Set up activity maintained manually in PPM operation with relevant set up tick.

6. I am running the optimizer for 2 materials, single resource with set up time optimization in t code /sapapo/rpt

FYI - 1. productio heuristics is running fine

2. I am able to level capacity with SAP001- schedule sequence

1 planned order is generated for each material. I am expecting change in order sequence as per the set up matrix definition.

You need to config optimization without missing a single step.

Your all profiles for optimization should be setup in a prper way.

CIF should be configured iAS per standard.

There are some enhancements and depends on which version of SCM you are working.

And most important the basis would have configured optimization engine and memory allocation for the optimization run.

Please let me know what config you have done and what error messag you are getting.
