Hello All,
I have developed an Adobe Form integrated within a Webdynrpo (for ABAP) View. This form can be launched from the portal.
Now I have been given a requirment that the form needs to be routed to 2-3 persons for approval and then submitted (or processed in SAP). The approving personnel will look at their UWL on the portal and approve/dissapprove.
I do not have much hands on experience on the Online Adobe forms with workflow scenario as above. I am looking at solutions such as ISR or Guided procedures. Guided procedure seems to be working only with WDN Java not ABAP. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I will really appreciate it if anyone can advise as to how I need to proceed here.
Thanks in advance, Liz
Hello,
I have no experience with GP (and don´t know anybody who has, if you would choose the technology and be able to create a thing using it, I would really appreciate if you could share your sources and describe the solution fur us here). And I think that is for WD Java (or designed from NWDI, or something like that).
For a start with GP I have found this:
I have no experience with ISR either. But (correct me if I am wrong) I think that is a little old framework, which is now replaced (i hope it is) by HCM PF. I would love to learn that, but have never found neither time nor a colleague to start.
I remember I have found some useful things about HCM PF here:

(there is the tutorial, last in the left menu)
Hope that helps, Otto

Hi Otto,
Thanks for your reply. I am also looking at the two tutorials that you have given.. I havent found any other sources either. I am no where close to a solution yet. But when I do get one, I will post it here. As of now, I figured that ISR will not work for me.
All,
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks, liz
Hello Liz,
I wonder - why ISR would not work for you? Probably it would not work for me either but I have no arguments (well, I have never tried to find any so far). Just wondering....
Is there anything else I could help you? From my point of view it will be your only option to learn that yourself or find anybody who has a real-life experience with that and imho there are not many people who can do this. Maybe you can recruit Chris Solomon?:)))
Good luck and looking forward to any information sharing,
I am afraid these so-called frameworks are the future,
regards Otto
Hi Otto,
I am not able to find out anything which talks about ISR along with Webdynpro.. I think ISR can work well with an offline form and approvals linked with it (I'm not sure though )
Also I found that Guided procedures only works with WDN Java.. so I have another limitation there.
I did post my question in the workflow forum and I have received some responses.. this might help you in future too..here is the link-
I am going to try those out and see if that works for me.
Thanks, liz
Hello again,
ISR stands for Internal Service Request (or something) and is (I hope) a base for the portal ESS/ MSS content. That means - it is for online processing, not offline.
I will check the provided link, thank you. I hope it will help other people to connect the Forms with WF as well.
