Hi,
I have a scenario here.
5 units of mat A has been issued out from a Stock Tranfer Order from the supplying plant through the STO delivery. The receiving plant only receives 4 units and 1 was reported lost. This 1 unit stills appear in the stock in transit report as the receiving plant only perform the receivng of 4 units.
How can we clear out this 1 unit from the stock in transit if the receiving plant is not going to receive any more the remaining 1 unit?

The R/3 system is designed so that the stock in transit can only be posted through stock transport orders (creation during goods issue, reduction during goods receipt).
557 and 558 movements can only be used to real stock in transit and not to virtual stock in transit in cross-company stock transport orders.
before you consider these movements read OSS Note 392205 - Analysis of stock in transit/correction for split valuation

Hi,
You can receive for the remaining 1 unit from in transit into QA location and then follow GI for scrapping once it has confirmed for a lost.
Cheers,

Hi Min,
You can adjust the "stock in transit" stock directly without reference to STO using movement type 557/558.
Thanks and regards,
Polly
