IBase component for PROD in CHARM setup

I am setting up a CHARM for a real SAP ECC landscape made of DEV, QA and PRD.

To create an IBase for DEV, QA and PRD, I go txn dswp, solution landscape->solution landscape maintenance->edit->

inital data transfer for IBase.

However, above action only creates the iBase for the clients on the Solman. It cannot create the IBase for the ECC DEV,

QA and PRD.

Would you please help provide a solution for this?

You can also try using the t-code IB51.

Yes, I can use IB_GEN to generate the IBase.

However, because it has the real production systems involved, how safe is the IB generation?

Please advise.

Hi Ashley,

This should be okay to go; however, I would definatley do this first on a test/dev system and then fire it off to production. If you do have a test/dev system, please do it there first as a good practice and then you can do the same on the production if all is well.

Have you already done the settings in SMSY and rfc are working fine for the managed system?

Also you can use IB_GEN transaction to generate cross specific ibase for components
