How to Create a Monthly Asset History Sheet

Hello Fixed Asset Specialists,

Can you advise please if there is a way to create a monthly Asset History Sheet?

The standard Asset History Sheet report S_ALR_87011990 (History Sheet Version 0001) has the various data that we require. However, the report produces cumulative yearly figures for the Opening Balance and Closing Balance. For example, if we want to run this for March 2010, we need the Opening balance to be the February 2010 ending balance and then show additions, retirements, transfers that happened during the month of March. This seems to give me the beginning balance for the year and the Closing balance as at year end.

Is there a way to modify the report S_ALR_87011990 so that it can be run monthly. Check of SAP OSS Notes does not show anything (except a monthly asset report from SAP Business One).

I have been reading around various forum postings in realtion to Asset History Sheet Groups and Asset History Sheet Versions. While this seems to allow the possibility of bring in various asset transaction types into the Asset History Sheet, and positioning these in whatever way is required on the History Sheet, there does not seem to be any way to show Asset Transactions (Or Asset pening/Closing Balances) values on a Monthly or Quarterly basis.

Is there any possibility to devise an Asset History Sheet Version for S_ALR_87011990 that would allow a monthly breakout of data? Or is there anyother way to achieve this in the FA module?

Hi Mik,

If report date is in the past or in the current fiscal year and the fiscal year is still open you can request the report for the last day of any period

In a future fiscal year or closed previous fiscal year you can only run a report for the last day of the fiscal year concerned.

I think this is your question.

Possible Solutions:

- In Business Information Warehouse thsi functionality is available

- Archieving the RAGITT-List every month

- Query

Thanks for your reply. The problem though with this is that if I run for end March 2010 it gives me the entire cumulative figures from January 1st to March 31st. Unfortunately the Finance Team want it so that they can run the repor for March alone, meaning they would want to see Opening Balance value as at March 1st, Additions/Disposals/Transfers during March , and Closing Balance value as at March 31st.

So in reality I think you'd need to be able to run that report by Period or by FROM...TO Date.

Is there a possibility to do that? Or some other report shwoing Asset History Sheet for specific periods? If not, would you now why SAP have not provided a FROM..TO (Posting) Date option for this report?

Hi Michael, How did you solve this issue? Did you manage to find a standard report for that? Or did you have to create a report?
