Hi All,

We have SAP R/3 4.7C version in our landscape & OS is windows 2000.Since now microsoft 200 server support is going to end so our sever team pans to upgrade it to 2008 server.

But i am not able to check the compatiblity of sap version with windows 208 server as standard support of this SAP version has already end.

Can anybody help in this?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure you meant 4.6C or 4.7 enterprise, but either one not supported with Win2008. If you're not planning to upgrade SAP to 70x, then Win2003 and SQL 2005 is the latest OS/DB you could reach with.

If you want to upgrade SAP to 70x on Win2008 and SQL2008, it's also not supported directly. You have to use Win2003/SQL2005 as a transitional platform and then migrate it to 2008.

Hi Fan,

We are using R/3 4.7 Enterprise 110, kernel 640,basis release 620, Oracle version is 10.2.0.4,so you means it can't be migrated to Windows 2008.

Can it be migrated to windows 2003 as in the installation guide of R/3 4.7 enterprise its mentioned that only supported windows operating system for this version is windows 2000.

So do you mean that we need to upgrade SAP version & after that we need to do OS migration?

Please suggest.

Thanks & Regards

Yes, that's right.

Yes.

I'd also recommend upgrading to a higher version since the support for 4.71 ran out in 2009 already.
