RFC adapter Error

Hi Experts ,

I have an RFC adapter error coming . The error is as follows.

Error in processing caused by: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (123) JCO_ERROR_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND: Server repository could not create function template for 'Z_DATA_TO_SCAN1' caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

Couls experst let me know why the error is coming and where i am going wrong.

Hello Flok,

Reimport the RFC Function Module and Refresh the cache before go to ID clear sld chache

it will work.

I have reimpoted the Z_DATA_TO_SCAN1 RFC and tested the RFC . Its working fine .

Addition to the reimport also edit and save the RFC channel used for cache refresh...n try

Hi Santosh,

Again u have to reimport the RFC Function Module and made some chages in the RFC comm channel and activate it.Then refersh the cache objects using SXI_CACHE and In ID(Select environment menu,select cache notification and clear the sld cache objects)objects also.

Hi,

Can u cross check if the CC for RFC is proper or not.

I am just giving steps to follow to check the RFC(I hope u also know these.... but fr clarification!!!!!!!!)

1. I hope u have tested the the RFC in source system... it is wrknfg fine

2.U have re imported the RFC again.

3.Refresh the cache once.

4.Mapping changed accordingly..

5.Test it from end to end now.. also check the cc is wrkng fine..

If u passed all these let us know.. else also

I have done the following steps .

1)Tested the RFC in source system (Working fine)

2) Reimported the Function module .

3) Refreshed the cache

Hi Babu,

When i try to activate the function module its throwing an error . I asked abapers to look into the issue. I will update the sissue once the issue gets resolved. Thanks for all the help .

Hi Experts,

The abapers have activated the function module but when i run the Scenario its throwing the sme error .

I also checked whether programi id is registered and its registerd.

Can experts let me know what else i need to look to solve the issue.

it could be an authorization issue. Check system log in R/3 system.

I know that u have chkd all the steps i mentioned in early post..

Now can u able to repeat the same thing.. and let us know if all those steps are wrkng fine..

So that we can zero-in the prblm....

Hi Babu,

The problem got resolved. We are encountering some performance issues with XI . Once it was fixed and when i tested the scenario it went fine . Thanks for all the help.

Have you imported that Z_DATA_TO_SCAN1 RFC module to PI ? The problem is with an incoming RFC ?
