Can we lock a particular Travel request without locking the employee? or is it mandatory to lock employee while editing a travel request? Kindly reply.

Can you be much more specific on your requirement of locking travel request.
1. Whether you dont want the employee to change the travel request after approval.
2. You dont want to employee to edit till the request is approved.
This will give us the information exactly what you are looking for.

I don't think we can lock a travel request without locking the employee. So we generally lock the employee first and then the trip automatically gets locked since the trip number will be unique.
In case you want to lock it through a workflow after an action is performed over it, you can check the[ link|].
