Validity Period for Outbound Deliveries

Former Member

Dear SAP Gurus,

We are an Oil & Gas downstream company that issues loading meter tickets (Outbound Deliveries) to customers.

We create tickets from sales orders VL10A, print these tickets (VL71) and issue them to the respective customers.

The problem is we need to restrict the validity period of such the outbound deliveries such that the system will not allow processing of such outbound deliveries/tickets after the set validity period.

Please can you advise on how to set validity period for Outbound Deliveries in SAP?

Counting on your usual assistance

Thank you and have a wonderful week ahead.

Hi

As Mr.Lakshmipathi rightly suggested there is no validity period setting available in standard.

You can use event groups and deadlines available on delivery overview and then configure delivery user exit to block processing of delivery based on the same . you cna maintian different reasons for deviation here and that way u can track information for analysis of expired deliveries/blocked deliveries.

I hope this helps

we need to restrict the validity period

There is no provision to maintain any validity period neither in sale order nor in delivery. Moreover, you have not indicated as to how would be the validity period; that is whether it is customer based or plant based etc.,

I feel you need to create a zee table wherein you have fields according to your logic (either for customer or delivery type or plant wise) and via Delivery exit V50S0001, you can control this.

thanks
