Dear All,

We are doing MDM - PI - ECC, is it required also to configure ADRMAS along with DEBMAS.

Please let me know why it is required and the significance of it.

ADRMAS contains the address data for customer and DEBMAS contains remaining data like General data, Finance data and Sales Data. MDM provides standard IDoc DEBMDM which contains both ADRMAS and DEBMAS which is used for generating the xml files during syndication.ADRMAS is posted first followed by DEBMAS in ECC based on the Customer number field.

How to do the splitting of DEBMDM and sequence the posting of ADRMAS and DEBMAS is explained in SAP Note1052964 . Additionally please also refer to the sdn threads-

Please refer SAP Note: SAP Note 1412742 - MDM Customer Content Information as well as attachments for more details.

In attachements refer 8.1 Message Flow of MDM 7.1 Customer Content where it signifies that Address IDocs must be sent always before the Customer IDocs. Otherwise ERP will not be able to process the IDocs correctly.

Also refer what are the field and table mappings using Customer_Excel_Files.zip (Field_Mapping_and_Check_tables and MDM7.1_Customer_content _Strings)

Hi,

As Stated by Mandeep, Sequencing is very important in this case and ADRMAS IDoc should should hit and get posted in ECC before DEBMAS IDoc, otherwise you will face problems in Posting. You have to configure the Interface Determination on your PI system for this purpose

In Addition to Customer Content Documents, please go through Note 1052964 - MDM: Distribution of Business Partners, Customers, Vendors . This contains information about message split and Idoc Sequence, list of Possible errors and their solutions.

Hi,

There are some address fields which are not present in DEBMAS, but are present in ADRMAS. If you are using those fields as a part of your scenario, then it is mandatory to post ADRMAS and DEBMAS both. In case, these fields are not of use, you can simply use DEBMAS and your scenario can be completed without ADRMAS.
