Cut-off Value and Memo Value

Former Member

Good day all

We have setup Memo Value of 1.00

The cut-off value is set to 10%.

My question is, will the Memo value over-write the cut-off value as all the scrapped assets has a value of 1.00 and not the 10%.

Hope anyone can help with answer.

Regards

Louise

The question really is why would you use both Memo value and cut-off % at a same time. Try to find out this first. Also read the difference between cut-off key and memo value from below link and decide which one you need.

If cut off value is given as 10%, then all assets will have value upto 10% only.

But if memo value is more than 10% of assets, then depreciation will be calculated till memo value is reached.

For ex:

Asset cost is Rs.1000 and cut off % is 10%

So depreciation should be calculated till Rs.100

If Memo value is given as Rs.200, depreciation will be calculated till the asset value is reached upto Rs.200.
