Hi experts,
After suddenly power down - I can't start up my Db instance. All the time I receive the error -24895.
I able to create new instance and run it, but corrupted one - contains important data for me an I want back it to life.
I added successfully new data/log volumes to corrupted database but it didn't solve the problem. The database may be set to "Admin" mode, but I can't pass it to online mode.

No wonder adding volumes did not solve the issue.
Basically the error message says: "Hey, I expect the start of the log information at this very location in the log area, but when I read it I get a completely different log page!".
This looks like a "lost I/O" happened due to the shutdown.
An easy way out of this - if you can accept to loose all log-information that happened between the last savepoint and the crash (usually this is about 10 minutes max.) - is to:
a) take a full data backup in admin mode
b) perform a "recovery with initialization" with this newly created backup.
The log area will be re-initialized by this and your data will be available.

Lars
