Dead Line Monitoring

Hi Expert's, Could any one tell me the step by step procedure to achieve the dead line monitoring in SRM7.0 Process controlled workflow.

Hi,

What is your business requirement? It is just sending notification or any special process for deadline?

Alert notification for deadline is available but enhancing process steps for deadline is not available because standard workflow templates are not changable in Process-Controlled Workflow. You can use Application-Controlled Workflow or create custom workflow template for deadline monitoring.

My Requirement:

I have to send reminder notification to approver after 2 days. After Second reminder i have to copy SRM admin in the email for third reminder.

How can i achieve this. I have completed all my requirement using Process Controlled workflow, now i can't go back to Application controlled workflow.

Please suggest.

Hi,

The solution for your requirement is Alert Notification. It is standard function.

Transaction: SPRO

SRM -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic settings -> Business Workflow -> Process-Controlled Workflow -> Business Process Configuration -> Define Deadline for Events

You can also use the BAdI BBP_ALERTING.

I have defined deadlines for events. I am not sure what to do after this. But my concern here, how can these events will be linked to alerts , I am really confused here.

Could you please give me a small example or procedure to do. It will be a great help.

HI,

Just create a document and do not execute the workitem for a few days.

If it does not work please check followings.

+ The transaction type has event schema name. Transaction SPRO.

+ Deadline job has been scheduled. Transaction SWU3 or SM37. The program is RSWWDHEX.

Bhanu .. i have a similar requirment ... did you find a way to get the deadline notification working.
