Hi,
I am trying to configure SMTP where i can send mails from sap to mail server,
I configured in Windows environemnt it worked fine , but when i am trying to repeat the same steps in Unix environment mail is not going from SAP.
Please advice are there any additional needs to be done in order to achieve successful configuration.
Regards,
Irfan.
Hi,
As discussed by juan, you need to mention your Mail server ip address and port number.
the important thing is check whehter port 25 is open or not.
And maintaing the Default domain as * or your mail server domain in SCOT
then you need to check whether The job shceduled properly in SCOT. see try to send message from SBWP and check the status of the request in SOST. there you will get the reason for the failure.
or else please post you error message log that would be help ful for us to anlyse the issue.

Check that you can reach port 25 and that the IP address of your SAP system is populated on the relay agent of the SMTP Server. Theres no additional steps as configuration on SCOT is not OS dependant.

Hi Irfan,
Check SAP note 455140 firstly.
What error message are you getting in SCOT/SOST?
