Hi All

Mat Master no - 34567 Condition 198 USD - 31.03.2010 TO 08.04.2010 and 208 USD 09.04.2010 TO 31.12.99999

on 9 th April 2010 . i go to cockpit and

when i propse a source of supply contract shows 198 usd instead of 208 USD in the sourcing cockpit. why ?

Proposed source of supply showing expired material price why ? it mislead the buyers to select the best vendor

Any thoughts

Muthu,

I am curious if you found a fix to this. What do you see the price in propose source of supply now? I am wondering if you ran into problems with system date...In other words eventhough you were on 9th the system date may have been 8th.

Hi Muthu,

This looks a little weird and looks like a bug in the system.

I believe you would have already raised this with SAP.

However the trend seems to be like system is picking up the first condition irrespective of validity dates.

Can you alter the condition sequence and see if the new condition gets picked up? This is just on intuition.

Sometimes this might work.

Please let us know the outcome for further analysis and thoughts on this one.

Hi Teja

can you guide me to run this report to resolve this? it must be done in ECC

RM06ENP0 - Contracts

456691 FAQ: Price determination in purchasing (especially Question 22).

Conditions that are valid at the time are maintained in a contract or in a scheduling agreement (that has time-dependent conditions). Why does the item overview display an obsolete price?

Answer:

When you maintain condition validity periods, the system uses the price of the period that is currently valid for the item (field EKPO-NETPR) However, when a validity period expires, the system does not automatically update the net price of the item. You can use the report RM06ENP0 (for contracts) or RM06ENP1 (for scheduling agreements) to update it afterwards.

When you create a PO with reference to such a document, the obsolete price does not affect this process because the system always uses the current price from the conditions without taking into account the price of the item (EKPO-NETPR).

Hi Muthu,

Yeah, this report RM06ENP0 needs to be executed in ECC / R3 system using SE38 or SA38 transaction to maintain conditions for contracts.

I recommend you to first do a test run (by selecting the check box) and see the outcome by giving the contract number as input.

The output displays the old and new price along with currency and other relevant details like material and material group.

In case you are fine with the test run output then execute this report for required contracts.

Please let us know the outcome for further analysis and to identify other potential solutions for this issue.
