Test Connection SolMan <-> ECC

Hi There ,

I am new in the are of the SolMan ... and I would like ..

How would be the best way to test if the communication between 2 systems is working ?

I mean if I am able to connect from SolMan to a system ?

I will appreacite some idea.

Hi There,

I'll try to assist you with this. The best way you can do this is as both systems should be connected via R/3 connection through RFC's to do this testing through RFC's.

You can conduct this through transaction SMSY in your Solution Manager

> Systems > Open ECC > Open your SID > Expand it and click on the ECC Server link. This should show you all the RFC's configured for this Satellite system under the Clients tab. You may click on one of the RFC's and once in the next screen, you can do connection test or even Remote Logon to the system if the username/password exists.

The alternative would be to do this via transaction SM59 if y ou already are aware of the RFC and you can do the same thing there for testing this.
