This is a general experience question
Has anyone used the PLAN MONITOR /sapapo/pmon.
What has been your experience? what are the best applications? Any thing to watch out for?
Thanks
George Morstadt
Hi George,
The Plan monitor functionlity can be used in many areas of APO.
From expericene, it is felt that most usefulness can be in the area of Detailed Scheduling of Production Planning module.
Specifically planning situation with scheduling / rescheduling orders . Normally shortterm order adjustments becomes critical than supply adjustment in say 6-10 months down the line.
No experiecne in usage of Plan monitor in CTM.
I hope this gives you some insight.

Hi George,
Plan monitor is an efficient tool to monitor and compare the
performance of different planning versions which will
give a high level (as well lowest level) feedback of how
supply chain goes on.
It gives the qualitative & quantitative estimate of the supply chain
situation for multilple locations products, product groups for
different periods at a glance
It compares the planning based on different periods and provides
output which can be used for strategic decisions.
Using the various key figures, you can compare and monitor
by assigning score to various objects. (calculation rules for
scoring pattern is as per your own convenient method)
One of the feature is that you can display the results in both
table form and as well as in graphic form
You can call up Plan monitor in CTM, Detailed scheduling, etc.,
