Have you already remounted the tape as the warning message indicated?

Wrong creation date 2000-01-01 00.00.00 for volume SCRATCH in device /dev/rmt1.1

BRRESTORE / Volume SCRATCH?...

I presume you are trying to restore data... in that case you have probably inserted the wrong tape as usually when a tape labeled SCRATCH is used to replace a defective tape in a cycle is relabeled with the requested tape label during backup.

Can you please describe your scenario in detail?

Juan

the tape your inserted is BLANK.

you did not backup on it or you erased it after backup.

go get a tape with a valid backup and try again.

volume SCRATCH in device /dev/rmt1.1

Clearly states that the tape in the drive is BLANK... if it was used the SCRATCH label would have been overwriten.

there are 2 kinds of label,

1. the one you stick on the tape cartridge.

2. the software label.

Brrestore checks the second one, the software label... obviously, it cannot read the "sticky label"...

brrestore tells you that you software label is SCRATCH and not PRDTPBKP.

you want proof of that?

run this command:

brbackup -i show

you will see SCRATCH.
