Is it anyhow possible to have message server on DiaIog Instance (not on DB instance)

You cannot have the message server in a different instance than the CI (which is not necesarily the database instance). In a distributed environment the CI and DB instances are installed separately.

The url that you have posted is mentioning: The SAP Message Server runs as a separate process mostly on the same host as the central instance.

As far as I know, the message server can run on any location. The SCS can be used for this.

Hi Branko,

Not sure if you can separate Message Server as to install it independently on DI. I believe you can have it installed along with Central Service Instance, and separate out CI and DB instances.
