Master data maintainence

Hi all,

Is there an option XI where i can give access to the end user(business person) to make changes in the mapping where i have the master data maintained?something like how we maintain mapping tables in R/3,where a user can make in new entries,similarly what is the option available in XI?

hi Jishi,

you can only do it with values for your mapping

1. you can ask users to fill data in the

value mapping in integration directory

2. you can create a RFC lookup to your R3

so the mapping will use values from the R3 tables

so you only need to give access to a view in r3

to fill in the mapping tables

but you cannot change any mapping

programs in the repository only values like shown

in 1. and 2.

Am surprised that you intend to maintain master data in XI????

You are thereby expecting business users to access XI for updating master data entries..which is a quite a queer thing to do!!
