Registries updated While migration tool Installation

Hi,

We tried installing the OLS 4 to SAP BPC 7.0 Migration tool. It got hung and we killed the process. While we are trying to reinstall the same, we get error like

"Previour Program Installation Created pending file operations on the installation machine. You must restart the machine before running the setup"

We tried it restarting the system and also deleted all the registries which seemed to be updated, but it all didnt help.

Please help us in resolving this issue.

You have to delete also the ollow registry key.

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE- Sotware- Outlooksot-EAPSERVER- MIG_VER

Ater that you will be able to install again the Migration tool.

Did you de;lete also the folder:C:\BPC\Websrvr\bin\Migration?

This has to be done aqlso not only deleting the registry key.

After that you can do a research into registry key using Migration and to delete everything which is with Osoft and Migration.

The installation of Migration tool has to be done with the sysadmin installation user of SAP BPC.

You have to delete the follow registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE- Software-SAP-SAP BUsiness Planing and Consolidation Migration

After that you will be able to install again the Migration tool.

By the way the migration tool it can take around 15 minutes to complete the installation.

Hi Sorin,

We are instaling with sysadmin user only and we have deleted the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE- Software-SAP-SAP BUsiness Planing and Consolidation Migration" before , but still it didnt help.
