Error "Buffer is too small, see long text" on saving a trip

Hello Experts,

I get this error when I save the trip. We are using SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7 version. We don't use Travel Planning and never experienced this in SAP before.

My initial thought was may be a field in the trip had too much information that it can't save the trip with but this is not the case.

Is it to do with not enough database fields where it stores a trip number on saving that it is erring ?

Please let me know any logical thoughts and how to deal with this.

We figured it out internally that someone in our offshore service centre uploaded a huge file limiting the available spacing in the database and since been fixed. Many thanks for you suggestion too!
