Authorisation Group for S_ALR_87003642 - Opening and Closing Periods

Dear all

Can you provide a step by step process for creating authorisation groups for S_ALR_87003642 - Opeing and Closing Posting Periods. We would like to limit to Company Code and certain people the opening and closing of periods.

Hi,

Have a look at note 887138 and chat to your authorization person. You can restrict maintenance by Auth Group, but to restrict to company code maintenance you will have to create some authorizations with object S_TABU_DIS...I did thi s a long time ago so do not have the step-by-step guide, but the note should give you a good starting pint.
