Hello friends ,

with regard to my earlier post where i am trying to acheive a Xi->RFC->R/3 scenario, after reading few articles i started with creation of RFC communication channel in Integration Builder. There one drop down is of Adapter Engine, in my case nothin is showing up over there, i had added the adapter engine earlier,

is there any way to start it or does it start automaticaly, if it starts automatically then in my case why isnt it showing up ?

thanks

Hi,

In the Integration Directory - click on "Cache Notifications".

This will also show an error as there is an issue in the SLD configuration that needs to be addressed by the Basis team.

Please this error for the Basis team.

Cheers

Colin.

Yes right ,

I am getting error on Cache Notification related to SLD. What is the solution to that .

One more thing, when i created Business system for my R/3 system , it had asked me for Business system Role, and i had selected "Application System". Do i have to select Integration System Over there, if yes then what pipiline url do i need to give,

would this then solve my problem which is show an Adapter Engine while creating RFC Sender Adapter

Hi,

The Integration server is not associated to the XI domain in the SLD.

Create this and restart the J2EE engine.

Application System is right for your R/3 system

Hi Rohit,

Is your intial problem was solved i.e Adapter is not showing in the Directory dropdown box ?

If so what is the error you are getting now/where ? You are telling Cache Notification is giving error??

<i>please can you also tell me the steps on how do i associate my Integration server to the XI Domain in SLD.</i>

>>>This intial configuration. if you have already working scenario in your XI box, then i don't think so ,there will be any error.

anyway you can check this configuration guide

Hi Krishna , No my intial problem is still not solved. The drop down for Adapter Engine is still not showing anything

the error i am getting when i call cache Notification is <b>"Unable to determine the name of the central Adapter Engine from the System Landscape Directory at this time. Notifications to the central Adapter Engine are therefore listed using the technical name of the Adapter Engine. This is usually structured as follows: af.<SAP System ID>.<Name of application server"</b>

There is a problem with Cache here.

Refresh the cache,

1)http://<host>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=delta|full

2) Go to Directory->Environment->Clear SLD Data Cache

3) SXI_CACHE->AE (refresh)

4)http://<XI server>:J2EE port/rep/support/admin/index.html->Go to Cache Overview , you need to refresh the cache for the Adapter metadata.

BTW do you have SAP BASIS SWCV imported into the Repository..

Inorder to open the pdf, you need to have SAP service Market Place Id.

Thanks,

Moorthy

<b>Yes i do have SAP BASIS SWCV imported in repository ( I Mean i have an entry in repository saying SAP BASIS -> SAP BASIS 6.40 , and lots of namespaces under it , and imported object etc. hope this is what you are talking about)</b>

But krishna , after doing all this i still cant see anything under adapter engine... Is there a way where i have to register Adapter engine with XI Domain anywhere

Hi friends, i am now able to see the Integration Server in Drop Down. Yesterday i made few entries in my R/3 . like SLDAPICUST in which defined the XI integration server.

Then in SLD created a Buss system for XI , which till now i hadnt

then created buss system for r/s and specified integration server as XI .

so after doing all this was able to see the integration server, and have succesfullt tested RFC Connection from R/3 to XI RFC Sender Adapter. Thanks all

Hi people!

<b>I have the same problem, but dont solved yet.</b>

I verified all the hints you post in this thread: SWCV for SAP BASIS 6.40 is imported in the Integration Repository; I made the cache refresh; I have business system for Integration Server created in SLD, in the way specified by the configuration guide (<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/95d7d490-0301-0010-ce93-c58f9a3cde0b">page 38</a>).

Any other idea or verification?

I have a recent installation. Please, see <a href="http://ivanfontes.googlepages.com/sapintegrationengine">these screenshots</a> for more information about my XI.

Hi Rohit,

Are you able to see other Adapters in the Directory ?

If not go to Repository and import the SAP BASIS Component. It includes metada data for the Adapters.

Then refresh the cache in SXI_CACHE

For more-

Hope this helps,

Hi,

1. Have you imported the SWCV for SAP BASIS 640 in the IR. All the adapter metadata is present there.

2. DO a cache refresh and see if it helps.
