Hello!
Not sure if my question will be accepted by the moderators, but I could not find a more suitable forum:
I am a developer with some basis knowledge: I am not able to understnad which ACCESS METHOD should I chose to make the printronix printer work: U - Berkley protocol and S - Sap protocol are not working
C - Direct access from OS is not working as well.
no print server in between
If anyone can give suggestion, it would be highly appreciated.
Thank you!
Silvia
Hello Silvia,
Local Printing:
Access Method: L - Unix only
L can use command set(SPAD - Access method -> Change -> Edit -> Command Set)
Access Method: C - Windows/AS400
Access Method: E similar with L
Network Printing:
Network destination: Printer server, Printer IP address, Printer name.
Access Method: U - Unix, Windows, AS400 etc.
Access Method: S - Windows should use SAPSPrint from now on.
Frontend Printing:
Old Tech.:
with Access Method F and SAPLPD
New Tech.:
with Access Method G without SAPLPD or SAPSprint
Server based printing:
with Access Method S and SAPSprint, not SAPLPD
You can try frontend printing.
Regards,
David
